After the experiment of having my own IRC I see that its in my best interest to just return to the Ustream chat room. So if you would all make note of this change and make the note in your IRC servers. I feel as though we have gotten away from the real reason behind the service. The time needed to maintain an IRC service is something the staff doesn’t have time for. Thanks for understanding.

IRC Chat Rooms

The Tech Buzz will have 2 chat rooms now. I have enabled the chat room on the ustream home page and will still be using GeeksIRC. The reason behind this is that Ustream.tv will not allow me to embed my current IRC (GeeksIRC) onto my page on ustream.tv. So rather than fight and disable would be viewers, I have decided to add the chat back. So now you have a choice of which chat room to be in.

Both chat rooms will be moderated and will be interacted with. I have also embeded both chat rooms on my “Live” Page so you can be in both chat rooms at once if you don’t have an IRC client. I think this will better enhance the community of The Tech Buzz and give people an opportunity to feel out the show and interact before deciding if they would like to join the IRC community. The chat room locations are as follows if your using an IRC client:

After careful consideration by Steve and Shawn of The Tech Buzz, we have decided that it is in the best interest of the community and moving The Tech Buzz to a new level in broadcasting. To move the chat to Geeksirc.com. We look forward to seeing everyone there. Please make note in your IRC clients to simply change the server info only. Everything else remains the same. Chat is only accessible from www.thetechbuzz.net and ttbn.thetechbuzz.net . If you visit VIA Ustream.tv you must click the link in “About this show” . We here at The Tech Buzz want to wish the best to Ipocalypse and hope for their continued success.
