With the rise of the tablet on the horizon it was only fitting that I pick up one to try and use for my needs. But I wanted something that was different. Not something with a traditional operating system. I picked up the Archos 5 with the android operating system (which you can’t put other OS’s on it) and I have to say my initial response was, “WOW.” I will place the specs down below my review for you to take a look at. I’ve often wondered what kind of functionality and place a touchscreen tablet device would have in my world. Not so much the IT field or computer repair. But my world. I’ve found at first that I could easily replace my iPhone for a cheap no name phone that simply makes phone calls and carry around the Archos 5 for everything else. But why carry two devices? I’ve heard people using the iPhone for everything and from, videos, music, and even remote support, which sounds unreal simply because the iPhone only has a 3.5″ screen. Where the Archos 5 has a High resolution screen, 800×480 pixels, 4.8” TFT LCD, 16 million colors. How does that even compare to the iPhone? At first launch the Archos 5 has a down fall. Unable to work in a Mac OS X environment which is bad because that’s pre-dominetly my main operating system. (continue reading…)

I know a lot of you have been asking when and what time shows are live. Now I know I put this thing called the “Schedule” Page where no one checks, so I decided to post and Official blog post about show times and availabilities. So here it is:

Show time from 5-10pm EST for everything Mac and Apple.

Show time from 1-5pm EST for a great round table discussion about technology, phones, computers, operating systems, you name it!

Show time from 1-4pm EST. This will be the show for giveaways. A lot of times I have CEO’s of companies and product companies who come on my show and give free software, hardware and other cool things away for free.

If anyone is interested I have been doing a monthly computer class at Shiloh Ministries. I have been teaching very basic classes and teaching people the foundations of computers. If you have been in my chat room and thought wow some of this stuff is over my head. Then I want to invite you to join me.

Tonight at 7pm EST I will start the 1 hour class. Tonight we will be diving in on Internet Security. Not just with virus’s but with other things that could possibly pose a threat to your life and your identity. The live stream is hosted by mogulus and will be on the “Live” page of my website. The first video feed is of my studio. Below the chat there will be a second video feed that will be from the class.
