posted by The Tech Buzz on Feb.03, 2010, under News
I’ve been contacted by one of my sponsors in GFI to give you and opportunity to win an iPad! GFI has just launched a new competition – the winner gets an iPad!
GFI will be giving out a FREE iPad to one lucky/daring winner. All you have to do is to let us know, via a comment on this blog post about What you’d be willing to do to get a FREE iPad!
It can be anything from climbing a mountain, walking backwards to get your usual stuff done around the office for a full day, or maybe even swimming 100 laps at your local pool wearing a penguin costume! The possibilities are endless (as long as it’s not criminal, illicit, objectionable, disrespectful to any race, age, creed or gender, immoral, or in any way dangerous or irresponsible).
HOWEVER: There is just one last but very important detail – the chosen winner will have to actually perform the stated action and send us a video or photo proof to be able to claim their FREE iPad.
The competition will be open until February 28, 2010, and the winner will be announced on Monday, March 1, 2010. The chosen entry will be contacted immediately, and asked to submit video proof.
Terms & Condtitions
• GFI Software employees cannot take part in this competition
• The Apple iPad will be shipped to the winner when available (i.e., subject to availability)
• Multiple, original, submissions are accepted and encouraged
• Upon contacting the winner/s, if no reply is received within a week, GFI will choose another entry
• GFI retains the right to cancel/change this or any promotion without notice
• GFI’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into
• GFI is not in any way responsible for and cannot be held responsible for participants’ actions and/or submissions in relation to this competition and/or for any repercussions of those actions/submissions.

2010 Announcement
posted by The Tech Buzz on Dec.31, 2009, under News
Not for us bloggers, and internet pioneers. We are looking past the new year, past CES (which is the week of Jan 8th) looking towards January 26th. Why do you say is that marked in everyone’s iCal synced across their devices or Google apps you ask? I will tell you. It has been confirmed that Apple has reserved a conference hall in San Francisco to announce what they are calling a “Big” event. Now past history has proven. These events, namely Macworld have been the center stage for these such announcements. Announcements such as hardware updates, Software updates, iPhone updates. This year is different. Since announcing last year, Apple will no longer be a part of Macworld Expo, we all wondered when such products would be announced. Would we have to wait for WWDC? Apple has shocked the world yet again and has clarified the circumvented rumors regarding it’s long awaited tablet or iSlate. Is this the day we hear finally from apple that the past six years of development for what we the public are calling the iSlate becomes reality? Will it be another disappointment and just be some software/hardware minor upgrade/updates? Will it be an iPhone update announcement like the recent rumors of a 5 mega pixel camera? Insiders have said Steve is very happy with the “tablet” and it’s finally ready. Sources also have indicated that this may be Steve Jobs’s final major announcement as Apple’s CEO. Either way, 2010 is already starting to be an exciting start in the technology world. Please leave comments about your thoughts or insights! I’ll keep you posted as recent developments surface. Until next time, Keep it buzzin’
