Donations
posted by The Tech Buzz on Dec.20, 2009, under News
Now first off I want to say a big THANK YOU! To those that donated the other night during my live broadcast. The topic got started in the chat room by Rob from corndogcomputers that people should donate and help support the show in order to get the stream out on the web quicker! By the end of the night I’m pleased to announce that I have received $253 in donations! Personally I am not one to come on and beg for money. I know a lot of other shows will guilt trip you or whatever but I believe that if you like what I’m doing and would like to see improvements then you will support the show. Even if it is $5 or $1. That little bit adds up over time. I have huge plans for the show, but it will take money, it will take hardware, and it will take time. I’m ready for that. But it’s nice to see the community pitch in and help. I am coming up on 2 years in March and OH what a road I’ve been down. Good news is the future looks bright! I’m ready to move forward and if you want to contribute in this moving forward. Just look on this page and click on the “Donate” button. Thanks. Until next time “Keep it Buzzin!”
Google Branded Netbook
posted by The Tech Buzz on Dec.17, 2009, under News
Now if some of you have seen the previous shows you have heard me talk with numerous guests regarding the empire known as google. One of the things that I said was a hunch that maybe Google would be bringing out at the launch of Chrome OS, a Google branded netbook. Taking a page from apples book, Google would be on the forefront of having their own name branded machines. Now some have laughed at my thoughts on this and also have said it’s not possible. Some have gone on to say it would never take off. Well Michael Arrington disproves latter of the two:
“They’re not in any particular hurry and seem to be aiming for the 2010 holiday season, a full year from now,” author Michael Arrington said. “Our understanding is that Google intends to have the devices built, branded with Google, and then sell them directly to consumers. The only firm tech spec we’ve heard is that they’ll be mobile enabled, and likely tied to one or more carriers with a subsidy.”
So a time frame, remains to be seen. But I think it’s safe to say, google isn’t far from having their own, “Google Store.” Until next time, “Keep it Buzzin’

Google unreleased phone?
posted by The Tech Buzz on Dec.13, 2009, under News
Rumors have been flying around the internet for months the Google was working on a piece of hardware all of their own. Well over this weekend pictures surfaced and confirmed that statement. The nexsus 1 is the name being given to the phone. Apparently though Google hasn’t confirmed any release date or carrier date release. But rumors have surfaced that it will be a complete unlocked phone that will run a version of android. Will this be the next hot item of 2010? Will this finally conquer the iPhone? Apparently Apple has already started working on it’s next version of the iPhone. Google may have a phone, but I believe the next version of the iPhone will set a new standard for smart phones. Just as they did with multi touch and really made it popular. Well that’s the buzz for today, Until next time, Keep it buzzin’
