IRC Chat Has Moved!
posted by The Tech Buzz on Apr.24, 2009, under News
After careful consideration by Steve and Shawn of The Tech Buzz, we have decided that it is in the best interest of the community and moving The Tech Buzz to a new level in broadcasting. To move the chat to Geeksirc.com. We look forward to seeing everyone there. Please make note in your IRC clients to simply change the server info only. Everything else remains the same. Chat is only accessible from www.thetechbuzz.net and ttbn.thetechbuzz.net . If you visit VIA Ustream.tv you must click the link in “About this show” . We here at The Tech Buzz want to wish the best to Ipocalypse and hope for their continued success. Please stay tuned as The Tech Buzz will be doing a show every Thursday night from 8pm-10pm EST with Scott from Compute-Ability where we will talk about the latest and greatest in Mac, Windows, and Linux. We will also be talking about the latest news and tech tutorials. Please stop by geeksradio.fm for any other information. Thanks

Rowmote
posted by The Tech Buzz on Apr.10, 2009, under News
This is my review on Rowmote, I want to personally thank Evan for allowing me the opportunity to review his awesome app. Also guys if you like this video please subscribe to my youtube channel at www.youtube.com/smheywood and www.youtube.com/thetechbuzz Thanks. Here is a word from the developer on the upcoming release of Rowmote 1.6:
Rowmote 1.6, has been in review with Apple for 9 days and has the following improvements:
[Enhancements]
• You can now put your Mac to sleep by holding the Play button for 3 seconds while any Apple application is being controlled
• Plex controls now match the behavior of the Apple hardware remote exactly (requires Plex 0.7.14 or later)
• Rowmote now stops the screensaver when a button is pushed; previously, Front Row and other applications could not be controlled if a screensaver was being displayed
• Added “Interface Feedback” option. If enabled, Rowmote will play click sounds as you press and release the Rowmote buttons.
[New Applications]
• Added Last.fm support
• Added PandoraJam support
• Added xbmc (XBox Media Center) support
[Fixes]
• Improved reconnection after the device has locked and slept
• Fixed the appearance of the Applications remote if the connection to the Mac is lost while it is visible
• If Rowmote Helper is quit manually, it no longer automatically starts again at the next login
I look forward to hearing any comments or suggestions you may have.
Until next time, Keep it buzzin’
